After translation modified window aspect ratio, texts and buttons elsewhere.

Thank you!
Another problem with the buttons is not because localisation. Difference location of buttons pupradio and puptelly. Pupradio buttons is right. Puptelly buttons is center.

Radio-locator: WNYC or your Favorite
Hi All;
I am a compulsive listener to WNYC FM 93.9 ever since they began insisting that I "Never turn it off." It's on my car radio, my Out house radio, bookmarked on my webbrowser. So naturally I needed to have it on PupRadio. Odd thing: Going to its website and copying the links supposed to provide its live stream resulted in dead air.
Googling finally produced Radio-Locator: http://radio-locator.com/, " the most comprehensive radio station search engine on the internet. We have links to over 13,000 radio stations' web pages and over 7300 stations' audio streams from radio stations in the U.S. and around the world." Typing in WNYC disclosed its Bitcaster info. Clicking the "lightning icon" opened the stream in my browser which enabled me to copy that link address, http://www.wnyc.org/stream/wnyc-fm939/mp3.pls into PupRadio. Caution, it took some time before my browser's cache was filled and sound could be heard. Once copied into PupRadio, the stream could be heard very quickly.
Although it may seem like a lot of work to get "my" radio station into PupRadio, if you're like me and have a favorite radio station you know generates a stream you should be able to listen to in Puppy as simply as turning on your car radio and pushing a button, check out Radio-locator.
---
By the way, as I didn't know what I was doing and Pupradio has only limited space for a couple of Presets, I tested possible links by bookmarking them: Which resulted in bookmarks to dead air. How do you edit or delete bookmarks? And for that matter, Presets?
Edit: Found them. They're text files in the hidden /.pupradio folder.

It already does if you select a player which will launch via m3u files.stiginge wrote:Anyone know how to get pupradio to play m3u files?
In Slacko if I select Gnome-Mplayer it plays.
In Racy it plays if I select VLC (which I have installed) or it plays in the browser via the Mplayer plugin by just clicking.
As a last resort just download and save the m3u file, open it as text and then copy the real URL into pupRadio-pupTelly or directly into your player of choice.

I've tried all of the players in pupradio with that m3u file but none of them work. I'm running 529.
How could I download and save the m3u file? If I do it in browser it doesn't save anywhere that I can find it...

I don't think that's going to work because its a weekly radio show and the link changes every week.Semme wrote:Rt-clk >> save linked content as >> then open as text >> http://216.172.164.248/~texemarr/audio/0613.mp3
As a different example, lets takes this station http://www.achieveradio.com/tunerRP.php. It has a static url but pupradio will not play that station when you input this url.

I doubt they change show numbers. Time'll tell..
As for your new one- what's in my screenie?
Don't want it this way? VLC streams m3u..

As an example, here's the url from one shows sidebar:
You could use it all, or trim the final url. Either way..
Go ahead- throw'm both into PupRadio..

Unfortunately that link is dynamic so that means that it changes every week. Clicking on the pupradio icon for that station will play only that show over and over and overSemme wrote:I doubt they change show numbers. Time'll tell..

Web designers these days often set thing like this up to play streams in the web page rather than spawning standalone media players.stiginge wrote:I want it set up so that pupradio plays the stream at this link http://www.achieveradio.com/wp/ar-radiochat
That link plays for me in an embedded HTML5 player or Flash Player and is the "Listen Live" stream.
If you prefer (as I often do) to have streams playing in a standalone player then sometimes you have to have a bit of a dig around.
Looking on that website there is a link for listening live in Winamp which points to a file "ACHIEVE.m3u"
Right clicking that and "save target as.." saves that .m3u file in my download location (as set in my browser preferences) which is /mnt/home.
Navigating to /mnt/home in ROX I can then see the file "ACHIEVE.m3u" which I right click and open as text.
This gives me the "Listen Live" stream URL which is:-
http://67.210.114.164:8000
Copy and paste that into pupRadio and it plays the "Listen Live" stream.

Stiginge- careful with that thumbs down bit..
Oscar- couldn't get your url to play.
After taking notice the addy's that pass during a page reload, I arrived @ this url:

Oh, that's strange. Try pasting it into your browser, you should see the Shoutcast Server Admin Page which shows a live stream.Semme wrote:Oscar- couldn't get your url to play.
Worked for me here in pupRadio (with mplayer selected), DeaDBeeF and pMusic. Yours works too, seems to be an alias URL to essentially the same stream.

0.18 is out
NASA stream, while it kind of worked is somewhat broken, even if played through a browser.

It's something to do with the port number. 8k's not cut'n it.
It comes over fine on port 80 when I play the mp3 link.
It IS possible I'd need to forward that port..
BUTT I'm not gonna worry about it.
