Hi 01micko,

I'm running 5.28 (frugal) and am having trouble installing the latest. I initially tried installing while the previous was still onboard, then removed the original and retried again. Either way results in a "failed to install" error. Is there a simple enough fix? Thanks.

Edit >> Not to worry.. I dropped back an image and have the old one working again. [s]I'd still like to know  if you know, what might be preventing me from installing this latest one or where I might look for an answer[/s].. On second thought, I'll ask up top about this petget bit.

Edit >> Got it! The terminal error was:

Code: Select all

# /usr/local/petget/installpkg.sh /root/dwnlds/precord-7.0.1.pet
truncate: you must specify one of `--size' or `--reference'
Try `truncate --help' for more information.
Discovering truncate's part of the coreutils pkg, this is what had me bite'n the bullet- repos showing v7.4. A quick removal had petget back in the saddle. Figured I'd go ahead and remove Precord then test another version of coreutils.. and going up didn't help. What finally worked was the older 6.10-6 from Lenny (which I think what Lucid's based on).

If you're reading this Lobster- perhaps now you'll know. I see you went through this some time back..

Thanks for this update :)

Can you let me know if this will overwrite my existing bookmarks/urls?

I am using Lucid 5.28 currently, which build was used for the OS and is an update to the version included in 5.28?

Thanks

Well it shouldn't! It may pay to back up your saved files first, they are in /root/.pupradio (hidden file), just copy the whole directory to a safe place or copy it as a different name.

gettext for Russian

#97 Post by rodin.s »

I've made a translation for Russian. But I have regenerated pot-file. Some lines were missing. Also I have added some gettext lines to pupradio script (Record, Preset No etc.).

Hi mick

I was checking out this python based radio player foobnix it has thousands of stations, and well here's the list, most work fine gxine.
Just figured you might have a need for this :), One list is Russian, so maybe a addon pack :)

Love this app, use it a lot, just a quick question - is there any way to increase the number of saved radio stations above 8?

I suppose Micko could if he wanted- then it might be too big'n sloppy..

What I have is a radio directory filled with simple scripts like this:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
mpg123.bin -o alsa -@ http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=262715

Xbindkeys ties it all together, complete with a station kill.

Pup Radio - It's Great

#104 Post by Markcus »

I love this app. Now clicking away on my keyboard is a pleasure with all my favorite radio stations just a mouse move away. Upgraded it slightly to allow more radio stations as I like to have plenty to choose from!

Love Puppy it kicks, can't remember the last time I used the "other" platform.
Regards,

Mark

PupTelly preset button 6 "Shoutcast Movie" is in fact now carrying a stream "OldFashionedTV.org" which has some great old TV shows on it (and some old classic commercials too). Video quality is not brilliant in full screen of course, but enjoyable to watch none the less. Let's hope the providers can keep the channel going.

One little problem:
After translation modified window aspect ratio, texts and buttons elsewhere.

Is there any way you can abridge the translation?

I modified translation. Window aspect ratio so right. :)
Thank you!

Another problem with the buttons is not because localisation. Difference location of buttons pupradio and puptelly. Pupradio buttons is right. Puptelly buttons is center.
