Hello! I 'd like to play "Prince Of Persia 1" (the very first version) on Puppy Slacko. Is there a pet or i should use wine?

Hi Christos,
afraid I can't speak for strategies to have "Prince of Persia" working in Slacko, but sc0ttman has made a pet for DOSBox Game Launcher (DBGL) based on his 'Akita' series of pupplets, based on Puppy4.2+Wary5.1 http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 979#650979. He's packed what is necessary to run DOS games with it (i.e., DOSBox+DBGL, and java with symlinks to workaround the minor file structure difference Puppy has, compared with other Linux versions that DBGL was geared for). I cannot guess if sc0ttman's akita pets would work in Slacko... You might be able to cobble such a setup in Slacko for yourself as I had done in Akita http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 966#647966 - or you might make a request for it elsewhere on the Puppy Forums if you are interested in the DBGL avenue. More info on DBGL is found here http://members.quicknet.nl/blankendaalr/dbgl/#install, and it with "Prince of Persia" in the comments to this youtube here (unlinked) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLRg7cvqPWY .
I have the game running for the kids on a 16MB RAM, Win95-era laptop dedicated now to FreeDOS, so I understand your interest in having it running under Slacko!
