Can't connect to the Internet [SOLVED]

#1 Post by saltsprung »

:( I have posted this here before, but can't find the thread. I really want to try Puppy, but can't get it to connect to the internet. I have a desktop with broadband connection/modem. Every other linux distro I've tried connects no problem. Most of them without having to do anything. I downloaded and burned Macpup to try that, but I get the same thing. It wants my pppoe password with the Roaring Penguin. Please help me figure this out? I don't have a pppoe password.

Give you an idea how much of a nightmare getting one of these can be. :?

Please help me figure out how to get Puppy connected to the Internet?

I phoned the Internet provider and was told I couldn't get a pppoe number.

Sounds like when I wanted to connect using my mobile phone as a modem and the answer was the same wizard and choose the dialup program.....I had been fiddling with udpsa blah or something for ages which I thought I needed to use.
We are our own worst enemies :D

happy browsing.
