Wanted - Language Packs (.po) for JWM

#1 Post by scsijon »

Could I ask for some help to extend JWM's Language Packs.

Currently joe has:

po/de.po
po/fr.po
po/jwm.pot
po/pl.po
po/pt-PT.po
po/ru.po

which means there are a 'few' missing.

And since he is nice enough about fixing problems and adding additions for puppy I thought it would be nice to help him out.

My jwm thread for the latest release and test versions is
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 002#680002

New .po files can be attached to this thread please and i'll feed them back to joe.

The pot file to use is some three messages below, I hadn't realized we were only using part of JWM in puppy, so thanks to L18L for supplying it.

thanks
scsijon

Hi scsijon,

Here's another world language

Only .po needed and not .mo?

What about jwmconfig2.po/mo? Or is that "Puppy only"?

Thanks!

EDIT: Attachment deleted, see some posts below..

Aren't these files located in the various language packs?

So just find the language packs (good luck)
and do extraction.

No.
...and there is no language pack for fr_CA
But you could make one from fr.po

Puppy is using a very reduced set of JWM.
And therefore this request is for Joe's official "Joe's Window Manager".

For your convenience I have downloaded jwm.pot from latest source/po in
http://joewing.net/projects/jwm/
for you.
... and attached it as jwm.pot.gz

Hope that helps

correction

Hi again scsijon,

After reading L18L's illuminating words, I realized you were not asking for Puppy's jwm.po but the somewhat bigger JWM's jwm.po .

Apologies for posting the puppy jwm.po file above. I will delete it.
Here's the correct one (I hope  )

(thanks for the .pot file L18L!)
