Cool wolf_pup, is this compiled on 4.3.1 ?
Anyway, I compiled for dpup here: weechat-0.3.1-i486-dpup.pet

It's 923 KB but it has default plugins + perl support with beep plugin added to autoload, also configured to autoconnect to #puppylinux and has menu entry to launch it in rxvt!

BTW, did you compile this without libiconv dependencies, cause libiconv is about 1.3 MB, you wouldn't notice that while devx is loaded but if you try on clean boot with pfix=ram you will see if it needs it.
