Christ thanks indeed for posting this and other threads on how to do such rescue things.

But typical of me as a propeller head guy I jump at this text.
Unfortunately the core program is just available as a Windows binary file. You need to install it on a Windows machine or to run a virtual machine on your Linux box. Download the Sardu zip file here and unzip it in your favorite folder. (e.g. C:\sardu)

Are there no way to stay in Puppy and do all of it manually? On his site he says that it should be possible to use grub4dos and I wonder if not grub4dosconfig can be used in similar ways as SARDU is done?

Sure I have windows but it always want to install patches that takes forever so would be cool to do it all in Puppy.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Turn off updates....it's all BS.

They have an installer now to USB.
Just try it in Windows.

Hirens has a USB installer too.
