107 from live CD finds my ethernet card; hd install doesn't

When i use puppy as a live disk it finds my ethernet card and i get acces
to internet, but when i install to hard drive it dont
anyone that have an idea.
I am installing on an very old compaq 233 , 180 meg

What type of hard disk install are you using? Option 1 (boot from floppy) or option 2 (boot from HD, puppy occupying a whole partition) or something else?

And Puppy has problem with ethernet connection when linld.com is used:

The HDoption-2 install is the most different from the LiveCD boot.

So, until you solve your problem, you might want to try a DOS-boot HDoption-1 install, that you can make as similar as possible to the LiveCD boot mode that works for you.
