this is what i get when i hit START (puppy arcade7)

Pwidgets has been removed, and will not work in Puppy Arcade..
Unless you re-install it.. I think you can get it in PupGet.. (the package manager)

Also you will need the bugfix - to get libSSL back..
You can get the bugfix here

The desktop is disabled in general - only uses JWM to make wallpaper...

You will need to re-enable it, by dragging an icon onto the desktop (easiest way)... Then you can have Pwidgets...

Also, this should probably have been posted in the puppy arcade thread... by the way!
