Hi ttuuxx,
You can add the Samsung x05 laptop to the list of kit that suffers from the black screen and dead keyboard under Tpup-001 and Querky-008 ( Intel 855GM chipset ).
I agree I think the cause is xorg/xorgserver.

Just tried the latest version of Geexbox.
It uses 2.6.33 kernel (like latest Quirkies?) and also gives black
screen freeze on my 700m, Intel855gm.
