It's ok! I barely use wine, so i don't follow its development. I used (by luck) the wine version from here (slackware package), it worked and i created PET and SFS files for easier usage. That's all!Makoto wrote:(I'm not trying to slight your efforts, koulaxizis. I mention it because it looks like you've provided the build since the most recent build in this post is 1.7.0.)
I tried your .pet and SFS - trying to get Cadra to work on the SFS no luck yet...koulaxizis wrote:Wine 1.7.2 for Slacko, PET & SFS files.
It worked fine for me but it would be nice if you could also test it, just to be sure... https://copy.com/3XP3nI1BsRcE
I don't use Wine to run IE or too "heavy" apps. I'm sending you a pm with 3 of the apps i have tried, so you can test your Wine setup...earl wrote:I tried your .pet and SFS - trying to get Cadra to work on the SFS no luck yet...koulaxizis wrote:Wine 1.7.2 for Slacko, PET & SFS files.

Internet explorer works , sort of... It does nothing when https://www.google.com/ is entered but when it starts it has http://www.winehq.org/ and that works?
I noticed that when I look at the menus for "Wine" that there are a lot fewer than with the older versions. Only 3 items. Is there a way to see if the program has been loaded correctly?
Earl
I tried the 1.6.1 - true. I don't know f i chose the right one but when i installed it i couldn't find it in any of the menu entries.koulaxizis wrote:Which package did you try?XBlackChaosX wrote:cant seem to get this working in slacko puppy, anyone know how i can do it?
Try this one (wine-1.7.2-32-s-i486-20130919.txz) or one of these... I tried all of them on Slacko 5.5, Slacko XL & Slacko 5.6.3 without problems. They create 3 shortcuts in the Utility menu. On first *.exe execution will download two required libraries. And you have to be ok! Good luck!XBlackChaosX wrote:I tried the 1.6.1 - true. What is the name of the program? Is there a free download available to test?Marcos Santos wrote:Hi, I use a program that save the data with wine. I use normaly this program in all Linux, but in Puppy the wine can't read the data inside the program. So if I want to use this program in Puppy I need to put all data again.
How to do to wine see the data in Puppy Linux?
Thanks so much.
