Gimp 2.6.7-1.1

#1 Post by GrumpyWolfe »

Hi all

I made the sfs for MyWolfe-012 and I believe it will work with BarryK quirky for it is based on T2 build. If you do not have the glibc 2.7 or higher it will not run. I am sorry but that is what it was built on maybe one of the better puppy builders can find a way around this.

Get it here as a sfs and it will install though Puppy package manger just like a pet.

wow 30MB, I had a look at but couldn't run it because I'm using 2,14X right now, but I see you have the Python parts included, did you also compile with pygtk? the reason why is if not then the python-fu scripts won't probably work and might as well compile without python then and save a lot of extra space. And if you did compile with pygtk do you have a package for it?.

I made a older Gimp/Python/Pygtk version for 4 series located at http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 11e7879e30

I also have a version of Gimp gimp-2.6.8 built on Quirky which is T2, without python and locales and the pet is 7.9MB.
The link can be found at the Quirky/T2 package thread http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 143#374143
If you removed the locales you'll save about 7MB compressed on your sfs.

Hi TTuuxx

Thanks for looking at it but what I did was you deb files to build it so that the extra libs do not have to be in the main build and that way if a person does not want gimp then they do not have the space being used by the extra libs just to run it if the decide to install it. But I have not been all that good at the compiling part but can put libs together and get it to work.
