I've done a Puppy review for LinuxQuestions |
|
I have written a review for Puppy linux 1.0.1 for LinuxQuestions.
I tried to be as objective as one can in this extremelly subjective topic.
Is my review fair? Do you think I'm missrepresenting something? (Both in the good and bad sections)

rarsa,
You did a good job, I think it's quite fair, an objective treatment.

Review reviewed |

Well it has already been viewed 75 times, so good news. I feel it is fair. I was interested in what you said about apps - do you mean in dotpup and pupgets?

Yes, that's exactly what I mean.
Of course I understand that that keeping Puppy small goes directly to the hearth of Puppy.
As Far As I am concerned puppy has 99% of what I would normally use in a small computer. For a big computer, I would use a big distro.
That's why as of yesterday, I became a new Dotpupeteer. I Prefer using Puppy on the laptop but sometimes I want to use the big apps on the desktop. I needed a reliable VNC So I could run them from my back yard or my bed. Now I have the best of both worlds (I kind of had it, but I did not like TkVNC)

Is 100% possible with a pupget?

99% is pretty good for 60 MB.
Actually Puppy left me without a wish list, Puppy has been up to the job, but I rarelly assume a 100%.
