Latest puplets Subject description: Puplets that are up-to-dated |
|
Hello everybody and for my first post, let me say how much I enjoy Puppy which litteraly pulled me to Linux!
I'm now trying to install different kind of puplets and was lately interested by the ones with Compiz (Wnop and Ripple). But it appears that these versions are quite old now and not updated anymore.... Same for the page on the derivatives from the puppy main website...
This leads me to my question:
Would it be possible to list the latest puplets which are still developed and updated with the last kernels and tools?
Thanks a lot for your answer and sorry for my approximate English!
Tomka.

I listed some here.
Lighthouse-4.43f is my favorite at this time.
I like to run it from a CD-RW, and make a pupsave on a [1GB?] partition on a USB Flash Drive, and make changes so it doesn't save during a session [unless I do it manually], and I'm asked at shut-down whether I want to save or not.
I can provide instructions if interested.

Wow! Thanks a lot Sylvander!
I'll try boxpup and Lighthouse, as they sound great!
Thanks for this super-prompt answer and your description of the puplets!
I tried the other day macpup as well but found it quite unstable...
Thanks!
Tomka.

Here's how my Lighthouse-4.43f desktop looks.
Had to do a little tweaking to get it like that.

The News! Of course! How stupid, I forgot to watch there...
Thanks a lot, it's so fantastic to discover new puplets! Great!
Have a nice day and thanks both of you for your answers.
Tomka.
