scsijon:> slightly confused on the graphics xvesa, but reading the earlier posts sort of fixes that!

scsijon:> I thought you would have been using uvesafb for vesa,
link on gentoo.org for spocks devsite : http://dev.gentoo.org/~spock/projects/uvesafb/
----------------- from link----------------
uvesafb is a generic framebuffer driver for Linux systems and the direct successor of vesafb-tng. Its main features are:

* works on non-x86 systems,
* the Video BIOS code is run in userspace by a helper application,
* can be compiled as a module,
* adjustable refresh rates with VBE 3.0-compliant graphic cards.

uvesafb has been available as a part of the mainline Linux kernel since 2.6.24.

scsijon:>I see the note on the end of this may also be of interest

NOTE: The older versions of klibc seem to have problems with the new unified arches in the kernel (2.6.24). To avoid these issues, use klibc-1.5.8 or newer. Thanks to David Raison for pointing this out.

scsijon:> or is this what is being used and i'm totally out of it today
regards
scsijon

scsijon,

maybe I fail to get the logic of it all but my wild guess is that Barry is now working on Quirky 1.2 or even higher number. And that Quirky 013 is dormant until he is satisfied with the official Quirky 1.00 and the retro versions like Qret and Wary?

Maybe your suggestion would be applickable to Quirky 1.2?

If I have misunderstood then I apologize.
