how to enable APM icon on laptops?

#1 Post by Nevermore »

i am running puppy on my toshiba, and i wish to enable the battery icon on the tray, as well as thermal monitor..
wmpower displays battery only, not fan or thermal..
modprobe processor, modprobe fan, modprobe thermal have been sent but no result..
how can i set a tray icon for my battery on icewm?
Thanks!

You would have to edit the icewm configuration file, look in /etc for a .ice something file and read it carefully before you make any changes.

just wondering if you ever figured it out....
the config file you need to edit is

/root/.icewm/preferences

there are some lines in there dealing with the taskbar that should be pretty
self explanitory how to edit.

Let me know if that works
Puppy 1.0.7 (cd image on hdd)
HP pavilion ze4900
