A friend lent me his aging Dell Optiplex GXi desktop computer. I found some old RAM chips around and boosted the RAM to 64 MB.
Using the Puppy boot floppy and a 1.07 iso CD I was able to install Puppy 1.07 to the 2 GB Western Digital Caviar HD on a Linux Ext2 partition with a 140 MB Swap partition... it runs really fast via a cable modem...
It would not boot from the CD directly.
It has a PCI modem that I would like to get working... but so far no success... it is found by the Puppy Modem Wizard as
PCTel Inc. HSP MicroModem 56 (rev 1) - but I can't get it to do anything.

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.
