Ttuuxxx,
You're awesome. Things are pretty busy right now, so it'll probably be a couple of days before I'm able to get it loaded and give it a real test run. When I do, I'll let you know how it works. Thanks in advance though!

ttuuxx,
I finally got a chance to get your tweaked version of 2.16 up and running. It certainly is much more polished and cleaned up than before. And firepup is fast as ever.

I hate to even ask this, consdering all the work you've already done-- did you ever update flash in firepup? I can't seem to get flash running in firepup properly. ( I disabled flashblock just to be sure that wasn't the issue).

The error on one website (see attached image) seems to indicate that this has flash 7.
Other pages (see another attached image) ask me to install or update the flashplayer.

Perhaps I'm missing something or doing something wrong? I'm the first to admit my ignorance.

(Obviously, somebody else besides Tuxx is also welcome to step in with a suggestion).

Again, thanks for all of your help!

Hi I did use an older flash because of the older glibc that is in 2.16, the latest flash wouldn't work on it, it would be very unstable, I was able to use youtube with it so I figured it would be good enough, but if you wanted to try other versions feel free, flash is located in /lib/FirePupv4/plugins/libflashplayer.so so basically just download and test different version, the forum has lots of them, then when you find one that works better, maybe post which one and I can update it, worst case I would have to update glibC which isn't easy. But I did it in 2.14x.

glad to hear that I'm not crazy, LOL.
When I get a chance to play around, I'll do what you suggest and post the results.
Does what you say about pup2.16 and glibC mean that flash would probably also be trouble if I try firefox, firedog, opera, etc? (I prefer firepup, but am always experimenting)
