Subject description: Doesn't light when connected with IPW2200 driver(default)
Not a big deal but thought I'd mention it while testing puppy for the first time.
so far fast, smooth and well thought out - I'm impressed by the simple yet very functional setup and it rocks this old laptop. below is the poop on the wireless.
Keep up the good work fellas I think I will be a constant puppy user from now on.

Welcome to Puppy >> badab99.
My number one question 4 all users...which exact Puppy version???
Thanks for giving your hardware Model.

Sure your switch is on....from above link
" Wireless & networking
I primarily use the Ethernet connection while at work --
no problems there.
I don't use the wireless much, but I did hook it up to a nearby
access point and it seemed quite fast.
The wireless has no physical on/off switch --
it is controlled via the Fn key,
with an indicator light that stays on when the wireless is on
(doesn't blink with "activity" as do some Ethernet ports). "
"""""""""
Says here >> Wireless Lan
" Hardware: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2915ABG MiniPCI Adapter
Driver status: native linux driver available at
http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/
The native driver works out of the box. Just extract, compile (using make; make install) and run modprobe ipw2200.
For information on how to configure your wlan card, please see the above website.
If you want your nifty wlan led to light,
add led=1 to the modprobe line, or add options ipw2200 led=1 to a
file in /etc/modprobe.d/.
For Debian there are the ipw2200-source and ieee80211-source packages available, which simplifies following up on new releases

Wireless may work out of the box as well.
Lucid 528.05....excellent
And use Frisbee.
Wary might be a goer too but try the others...use the switch.

Hello badab99,
Glad mostly everything is working for you in Slacko ..
~
..erm Chris (aka cthisbear)...
As for the LEDs not working, there are warnings when compiling kernels about certain features in the kernel.. (IIRC), LED modules at that time (Feb, 2012) for some hardware did carry a warning so may have been left out on purpose.
