Puppy Video tutorials update

#1 Post by Rhino »

I have updated the Puppy Video Tutorial site with a video for how to register at the wiki. I think I may make a couple of more pages for the wiki as well.

There have been many requests for a tutorial on how to use Wink, but I will have to do that as a series of screenshots...I may be able to pull it off in a video with lots of copying and pasting.

I wanted to make an animation tutorial with mtpaint, but had difficulty making an original animation :-( If someone could send me a simple step-by-step text version I might be able to pull off a video. I understand layering to a certain extent, but not well enough apparently to get it to work reliably and appear as though I know what I'm doing.

I will get the commandline tutorial up soon.

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So simple - you make it look :)
please add this as a news item on the wiki

I would suggest any NEW tutorials on your site are marked as new in some way

Very much appreciated - hey now you can get into the wiki and wiki away

i haven't tried to make an animation myself ... all i did was make a dotpup package to install the executable that Mark Tyler had compiled and uploaded to sourceforge (the same guys who refused to host Puppy)

there are examples of animations in the mtPaint source

there is a tutorial page here

see http://mtpaint.sourceforge.net/future.html

maybe a video tutorial for mtpaint animations would be more work than you realize
