Here it is: Fluppy011. I solved the sound problem, so we now have kernel 2.6.35.7 hopefully with usb3.0 support, the latest brcm80211 from git, wl (blacklisted), rtl8180se, keucr, acer-hdf, ndiswrapper, and tkusb.

Congratulations on Fluppy 011!

I tried to download both the ISO and the ZIP and both are terminating the download way too early to be complete.

Is the server getting slammed and compensating badly?

EDIT: It seems to be working OK from dpup, the problem before was from Fluppy 010.

You were right. The issue with Fluppy 010 and my Acer Aspire One D255-2301 was USB 3.0. I am posting from Fluppy 011. External mouse, webcam, external usb drives, etc all work very well. Frisbee executed wireless networking flawlessly.

I must say that this has been a very smooth experience thus far. I will do more testing and report any issues (should there be any). This is the perfect OS for this little Aspire One. Thank you very much.

Great news! Will it boot from USB? - I forgot to check if the init script needs to be modified.

If/when you do fluppy 012...

f it is something you are attuned to doing... there is an issue with the kernel and building the ati proprietary driver. It builds... but the fglrx.ko created will not modprobe. (invalid module format error pops up) I did some investigating and there are some patches for this but I more or less don't have the knowledge on how to build kernels:-)

Virtualbox built okay for me so it is not an overall system issue or me not having the proper files.

I will upgrade to fluppy 011 just to check that something random may have occurred where this will now build correctly.

i saw that backlight on samsung netbooks is only supported via setpci

so is it possible to add xosd somehow to those archlinux scripts ?

bwh1969, If you send me a link to the source you want built - I'll probably do it. Is there only one ati driver? Or a bunch, like Nvidia?

If you want to link Claws (E-mail) to Midori (Web) so that clicking on an E-mail address in Midori opens a new E-mail in Compose mode in Claws
