yad-0.16.2

#1 Post by RSH »

Hello,

i have compiled the source of yad-0.16.2 in my LazY Puppy 528 (it's a remastered and so renamed lucid 528). This has been the first source ever i was able to compile successfully.

The .pet installs the yad-0.16.2 binary in /usr/local/bin. It contains the yad-icon-browser (manually added by me).

I have installed it in my LazY Puppy 528 and it works fine (it seems). I have written one script using yad-0.16.2 to get a list of .sfs files to select one of them to load and run the programs within the .sfs. Works fine!

What is Yad? Could you give us an idea of what it would be used for? Thanks. :)

Yad is a tool like gtkdialog and 'yad' means just 'yet another dialog'. So i think it is been in the right place.

Thank you for your interest. :)

yad has been introduced in puppy here:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=58306

and became official:
http://bkhome.org/blog/?viewDetailed=02335
This is version 0.12.4

I like yad very much (and use it) but prefer official versions.
Latest stable official would be great!

Cheers
L
