How to install driver for Tvia cyberpro 5000 chipset?

#1 Post by ukclearance »

I have a x86 based set top box (a fujitsu activy300) i would like to setup as a PVR but am having problems getting the video card to work. It has a TVIA cyberpro 5000 chipset, I have found a linux driver for them on this website ftp://66.15.209.17/pub/6086/tvia/ but havent got a clue on how to install them under Puppy so at current im running the VESA drivers which don't give particularly good results when playing videos
The set top box also has a sigma designs EM8400 MPEG2 decoder chip which i would like to get up and running as well for better video playback if anyone has some info on getting it to work under linux the help would be much appreciated.
