A Pet for my Lexmark X1240 printer drivers/software [SOLVED]

#1 Post by Emporata »

I have spent a lot of time trying to install this printer but Puppy just isn't having any of it. I have the disk that came with the printer but it is useless with Linux. Could anyone, please, write a pet for it? Thanks.

There is a driver here that works with some Lexmark X series printers.

Thanks so much for this! It is printing wonderfully! Will this pet allow me to set up the scanner? If so, is there a utility in Puppy that will help me do this?

Scanners are installed separately from printers. Have you tried running Xsane from the Graphic menu? It may auto-detect your scanner.

No I haven't tried that but I will do it just as soon as I get a chance. Thanks!

Glad to help.

Actually, the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday was in October. It's the American Thanksgiving/Christmas shopping frenzy that happens this week.

Oh yes--I forgot about that! In any case, the Gorging Season is on. Enjoy!
