Printing from Puppy

#1 Post by nekomaster »

Well today's been quite busy...

Anyways I tried setting up my printer with the CUPS printing thing and it did find my printer ( A HP Deskjet F340) and I set it up the best i could (selecting HP, and then Deskjet 340C).

Well it doesnt show any action when I try to print something (even though its turned on, plugged into the usb and some paper and ink is loaded).

Is there an easier way to set up printers then CUPS? Could I possibly get the printing thing that comes with Ubuntu and Xubuntu, because at school I need to sometimes connect to network printers and when I had puppy before it wouldn't find any network printers.

Have you read this thread yet? It has a link to the hpijs-3.10.6-dynppd.pet package that has a driver for the Deskjet F300 series.

I'd be interested to know what that is.
