The pet, Luci_Nvidia-256.35-k2.6.33.2-p5.pet, is available at two places:
http://dotpups.de/puppy4/dotpups/XServer/
and
http://puppyfiles.ca/dotpupsde/puppy4/dotpups/XServer/
with a user name of puppy and password of linux.
The installation script makes a backup (/etc/X11/xorg.conf.back) of the original X server configuration.
It includes an un-install script. The un-install script restores the orignal X server configuration. After un-installing (or removal) of the nvidia driver pet, you need to exit t the command prompt (i.e. no xserver running). First command needed is "rmmod nvidia" to remove the nvidia kernel module. The second command is reboot. A reboot is needed! I have found that nvidia leaves something in memory (maybe something with glx) that causes the xserver to startup with "xwin" to fail. The reboot results in a clean configuration and proper operation.
The pet has a documentation directory (/root/nvidia-doc) with a information text file and the man page for the two nvidia utilities in text format.
Thanks to forum member MU, who has made server space available for this and other pets.
Feedback is always welcome. I hope this helps.
