GRUB re-install utility

#1 Post by CafeRay »

Installing an OS is usually time consuming. Often some installations (such as Windows) will disable GRUB, and others will modify the GRUB menus leaving out some previously installed distros.

Would like to see a stand-alone application which just does a complete re-install of GRUB which searches all hard drive partitions for all Linux OS and builds a complete boot menu.

When you use Grub from Puppys' menu and install to mbr it creates
a menu list with all other drives included; and the boot splash screen.

Not sure how it handles Vista or some other Linux though.

Try Grub4DosConfig.
Some recent Puppies, LupQ, Quirky, Wary, and etc., already have.
