Well ... it's LXRandR, it's the LXDE monitor settings application ... anything else? :wink:

Nice, and worked without a hitch (unlike many pets). However, it only allows one or other display to be active, or the desktop to be mirrored on both displays... no option for side-by-side : which I thought would have been the most common requirement.

Well, I guess it's back to the CLI. Grumble.

You might want to try zarfy, here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=47603

It provides a gui for arranging multiple monitors. If you want your configuration to persist at every startup, then you'll need a script in the /root/startup directory with the command "zarfy -l" (see the end of that thread).
