Network ON/OFF call works on 1 PC not another (SOLVED)

#1 Post by tasmod »

I wrote a small script to turn the network on and off for someone in the additional software section.

Now i always test as far as i can.

Here's the thing, it now works on one PC out of 3, why ?? It worked on them all once.

All it is, are the selectable lines --

/etc/rc.d/rc.network stop

or

/etc/rc.d/rc.network start

Argghh: OK EDIT: Found out that two installs of Lucid 508 have different rc.network from one another !!!!!!

Seems it depends on which selection is made to start the network originally.

Latest install rc.network has stop/start case selection in. If BKs SNS is used then it doesn't have case structure.
