Subject description: wireless adapter not detected		  
ive had it for a while now it worked fine with windows and now it doesnt detect it

Try to use Windows drivers with NDISwrapper. It should generally work.
If you are using lucid puppy, you can have a look at the Ubuntu help wiki, it is quite extensive.
