Name? Size? checksum?

#3 Post by prehistoric »

All of these derivatives, and many more, are based on Linux. Could we have a name that is identifiable? It would also be nice to have an idea of size, memory required, etc.

Likewise, it's a good idea to publish an md5sum, so people can tell if they get a bad download.

BTW: you say it's preconfigured, for what choices?

(Let me guess, the default language is Basque, the timezone is for Eniwetok, and the keyboard is simplified Chinese, right?)

Hi

Just grabbed the lnx-4.31 iso

This line in 'isolinux.cfg' does not work, it can't seem to boot "pfix=ram" from the CD. I did a cheat frugal to install.

Code: Select all

default vmlinuz initrd=initrd.gz pfix=ram
Ah, so it is based on puppymartin's 'Browserlinux'

Cheers

Real computers boot from real lnx-4.31 CD properly: "copying to ram".
As usual you could create bootable USB using Unetbootin.
I assume universal and simple linux like lnx-4.31 could be useful.
