I have an Epson R300, and it is not in the list of printers in the Printer Wizard. However, it is in the other list that pops up, and it shows it should work with an escp2-r300 driver.

How do I install that? I looked through the printers in the Wizard hoping to find one that uses the same driver, but no go.

did you ever get this fixed - ive got to try and sort it out for a friend to whom i have given an older PC with puppylinux . she has also been given an epson r300 printer

I have a client with an r200 printer. Perhaps the cups install should have support for more modern printers, as printers tend to wear out before computers!!!!

ive gone thourgh the wizard and it recognises the USB-connected Epson R300
and there is an option whixh uses gutenprint5.0.0
but it fails at the final step ( "server-error") and the printer doesnt appear.

there is gutenprint5.0.0.1 around . How do i add it to the wizard 9 or install it separately)
