?slow starts, not puppy!

had the necessity to install mint to work out what a client was talking about with a problem they were having.

Installed ok to a spare parn, not sure if I don't like their installer better though, would be good for a full install.

turned kettle on, time for a cuppa.

On reboot,
I wondered if I had stuffed the install up,
waited,
waited,
waited,
waited,
waited,
waited,
first desktop screen came up,
waited,
waited,
menu box came up,
waited,
kettle boiled,
waited,
the first menu item came up,
waited,
rest of the menu items came up one at a time with some period of wait between.

cuppa time, I needed it!

tried to duplicate the clients problem, got it first time, not a real problem, just the way the client was doing something, yaaaaaa!

sheesh! and we have complaints that puppy takes too long to start.
