An xterminal (console symbol) doesn't open when clicking to the console symbol on the desktop. Similarly no reaction when trying to open a terminal with 'Window/Terminal Here' or 'Window/Switch to Terminal' in the file-manger. Have to shut down xserver for console-commands. I use german german keyboard settings.

right-click on "console">edit item>arguments to pass:
paste this in
-xft -xftsz 16
