Puppy 5.1.1 from USB boot: freezes after a while |
|
hi im new to linux and i think i know the problem just not the solution,i boot puppy without a problem, but when i do thing quickly or too much at once it just freezes until i reboot. i saved a file log thing after i shut down, it said save to harddrive, 1.2 gb, i pressed yes,now i can do more stuff before the comp freezes,i wanted to know how do i make it from 1.2 gb,to 15 gb,saved on my hardrive,in order for it to run faster,or is there a fix for it?
comp specs\\
hp pavilion laptop dv 5000
ram availible around 350mb,
im running windows 7 ultimate netbook edition, just fine
i think if i can make make the saved log file 15 gb,it can not crash,if you can tell me how to delete of my harddrive, that would be good enough for me as long as it works,
please tell me y it keeps crashing and if theres a fix,
btw how can i make puppy like windows 7, like when you drag the window to the side of the screen it maximizes to that side of the screen
thanks

Don't think the problem is the save file..it's lack of ram. Swap should help.
re: window...they should drag to size.
