puppy on a multi session CD disc.

#1 Post by vinceRABBIT »

Hello Forum People,

PLease can you refresh my memory about Puppy Linux operation
when used in multi-session CD disc mode.

I may have asked this before but i can't find anything in the forum search.

Please can you tell me how Puppy Linux manages itself when i am working with music tools on the desktop (in multi-session CD disc mode)

Say, for example, i am using Jackbeat music tool and i am recording my guitar going into the laptop. The recorded file is getting large and starts to exceed the laptops ram. What will Puppy do?

a) Does puppy automatically know when ram levels are reaching exhausted levels and then burn things to the CD in realtime?

b) Does Puppy automatically know when spare ram is reaching exhausted levels and ask you to manually burn stuff to the CD disc?

c) Does Puppy simply use the CD burner together with itself just like a hard drive. It burns files as your desktop work creates them in realtime.

sorry if this question is too obvious.

any advice is appreciated.

Vince.
