I feel like I need a coding project, some thing not too big and not too small. Of course it would be open source and would be more than happy to have it puppy related.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

A nice VPN client GUI app?

Puppy has something called PPTP (see Network menu) but it is very basic.

Roaring Penguin PPPOE package has a nice GUI app, but it is written in Tcl/Tk, so we are using a very basic GUI that I knocked up ages ago.
A good project would be to port the Tcl/Tk GUI app to something that will run in Puppy, maybe C/GTK or Bash/gtkdialog3.

Someone to hack jwm so that the window decorations would take 3 images for each action, normal state, hover, and clicked thats for the _--X buttons on the top right hand side, also 3 images for the Window menu Button on the left hand side. 12 24x24 icons. P.s and please don't use the latest jwm where it switches desktops by dragging the mouse beyond the screen on the right side, That is such a crappy feature.

Next would nice to have a digital clock that would take icons, maybe like the one in icewm, and when right click on the clock on the taskbar you could select 12hr or 24hr format and be able to adjust the time and maybe be able to have a alarm and counter that could be set.

would be nice to have a quicklaunch app that if you right click it, it shows the apps and also has "add new item" and when you click that, it opens a box to select the app location, Icon and a input for the name

Well thanks for the suggestions. I quite like the idea of perhaps fixing attym. What exactly is wrong with it?

I will also look into tuxxx's quick launcher idea.
