I made a file request for Puppy Linux 1.03 to Bigpond Unmetered, and the iso is now available for download there.

I thought this was a good idea, since people with Bigpond broadband can download puppy without it counting towards their download limit. I actually met Puppy there back when he was 0.9.9

Even though I am the "Official Cructacean", this is an honoury title. The only person I represent is myself (and after years of Buddhist training they have almost convinced me I do not even have a self - in fact it is possible that even this posting is illisionary)

. . . however . . . :D

On behalf of the Puppy I would like to thank you for this kind gesture [Lobster wipes away a salty tear] I immediately went to the site and awarded Puppy a 5 star status  I can not download it (well I already have Puppy) not using this broadband ISP

However the download process looks much friendlier than usual and I wonder if people with web space or part of portals or regular users of download sites etc can also spread the word of Puppy? 8)

Its the least I could do... Puppy is a shining star, and the more people that see the light, the better. I used to spend my spare hours trawling bigpond unmetered for new linux distros. Funnily enough, I've stopped doing that since I found Puppy. Don't I sound like a tragic??!!

Anyway, after only a few hours, Puppy has been downloaded 7 times from Unmetered, and is currently rating 5 stars from 3 votes (good thinking, Lobster!)

I'm like you thoughtjourney, I dont bother looking at other distros any more.
Besides with a 28.8k phone line I can't download anything else.
