Hi

I recently stumbled across this little fella: VLC media player Skin Editor
and i thought some of you guys (and gals) who use VLC might like to have a play with it.
  • It is a WYSIWYG VLC Skin Editor.
Note: This program requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 or later.

Just download the linux version: VLCSkinEditor_unix.tar.gz
into an empty directory (when it unpacks, all the files are loose)
Click on the file to unpack it, then make the file: VLCSkinEditor executable.

To run the app, simply click on the VLCSkinEditor file.

Online Help for the VLC Skin Editor
I know it works, as i hacked the WMP11.vlt skin, to display both the elapsed time and total time. (see attached images)

You can download more skins from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/skins.php
Click on the thumbnails to see the download link and details of what version of VLC it is suitable for.

Have fun :)
