Figaro's passwords manager
Figaro's passwords manager
Hi!
I was using Figaro on LuPu501 to manage my passwords...
Now i'm on Quirky and i want to keep using it, but can't import the passwords exported from Lupu.
The program doesn't show an error messeger, just said :"0 passwords imported" (or something like that)...
Somebody knows the way of import passwords in figaro??

I don't know figaro, but I suppose you installed in quirky.
I think it has created configuration information in /root or maybe in /root/.config (hidden directory)
If you find this configuration in quirky, rename the directories and copy the ones from the 501 to quirky.
Fingers crossed.

Figaro is on Quirky and Puppy as well...see the 'personal' part of the menu... Yes the Figaros files are on the dir /root/.fpm, but i can not get it running: everytime that i chang or modify the files, it crash...going to keep trying to make it run with my passwords.Béèm wrote:I don't know figaro, but I suppose you installed in quirky.

There is an export function in Figaro, that write all your pass and usernames to a .xml file; the thing is io can not make it IMPORT the same file that creates....
Many many thanks, i'm going to try it!abushcrafter wrote:Even better a portable password manager: Puppy Linux Discussion Forum :: View topic - [PortableApp] KeePassX 4.3 Portable

If you want attention to have the issue considered as a bug, then raise it in the quirky thread.

Its not about "attention", and its not about Quirky...Its about Figaros.Béèm wrote:If you want attention to have the issue considered as a bug, then raise it in the quirky thread.
Maybe somebody have the same problem and fix it, so i was asking for some help handle this export/import function, wich seems to have a big bug on it.
I post on this section because its an user issue about one of the defaults apps, so this belongs to this section.

As you wish, but in the quirky thread you have the attention of Barry Kauler, not here.
