I compiled the above in Tahrpup 6.0.1, May work in other Puppies.

It should work on Precise 5.7.1, but I was wondering about how much space it will take, since SeaMonkey 2.19 is embedded in the original squashfs (puppy_precise_5.7.1.sfs) and can't be really deleted (/usr/lib/seamonkey-2.19).

Maybe the best solution is to edit the original sfs and replace SM 2.19 with SM 2.25?

Its takes 70M of you savefile after install i should write a warning.

Yeah it would be better to remaster with it included in the main sfs or remove it in the main sfs and have a addon sfs with it.

Because you compiled it with the "suite" option it includes the full SM apps set (ChatZilla, Composer, Mail agent, etc) which is very good for most users.

But since I barely use any of them, I'm not sure, but maybe it's a little bloated for me. What is the size/performance difference if you compile it just with "mk_add_options MOZ_CO_PROJECT=browser" (or whatever other options are needed)?

Would you be so kind as to compile it and share it with the community?

I'd do it myself, but at the moment I can't set a spare (powerful) computer to compile it, and from my experiences compiling FF with my hardware, it took hours and hours and hours... and hours.

Just if you have a good computer, the desire to do it and the time.

It takes me 6 hours to compile not including setup and packaging on my eeepc 1005hab, not a powerful system.

i do have a current firefox in my repo it you want just a browser it has this option --disable-official-branding so there will be no official-branding. my repo https://www.mediafire.com/folder/cc4nim ... cise_5.6.1

I was testing FF a little, but isn't it a lot bigger than SM, especially regarding memory usage? I'm on an Atom 455, 1 GB RAM DDR2, frugal install to a USB flash drive, so resources are scarce and valuable.

I second Volodya's request, not the full suite but statically built seamonkey only (No composer, no chatzilla, and no thunderbird). Also for irc I'd use xchat or hexchat.

scabz eeepc 1005hab, a netbook with 1GB of ram. I thought seamonkey fullsuite would not compile without the official 4GB recommended settings for compile.

Hello @scabz. "works a treat!" @BarryK will be proud, if he see this. It would reduce his headache in April64 that he currently experiences, if he knows of your complete outlining to success.

Hi @Volodya, I think your ATom is a 64bit PC. I ask, would you test @BarryK's April64 on your PC. And, if time permits, test FATDOG on your PC. Both of these are sparse and fast and should work on your system. @FATDOG, would have the size and performance you request.
