I can't tell you how vexing/upsetting this is to have this happen. Each boot the two cards are represented by a different interface.
I have an internal lan which is intel ethernet pro 100, the second is a lan card D-link RTL8139.
ATM its intel = eth0 and D-Link eth1. Next time I boot it will swap. its pissing me off. I have to redo the firewall and smba each time for the day(I don't leave it running over nite).
This isn't a hardware problem. My previous puppy version(4.3.1?) didn't have this problem either. I just tried this wary puppy because it sounds nice but, its a pain so far.
Anyone got any ideas?
Wary 5.1.2 eth0 and eth1 keep switching
Typed rtl8139 in search and found this:ViroMan wrote:nothing? no one? <sigh>
