DeskJet 722C jinx continues

#1 Post by don922 »

I am using Puppy 4.12 on a very old and beat PII 350 I have been trying for several hours (about four) to print a copy of a .pfd.

Nothing seems to work and I think it's been about a year since I last used the printer. I have never liked the way it worked in Linux.

I send a job and it gets in the queue but doesn't get printed. See cup.jpg (below) When I try to delete the print job I get an error message. See jobs.jpg (below)

How do I delete these jobs?

How can I get these or similar jobs to print?

What causes the HOLD JOB message?

Try the command

Code: Select all

lprm -
Note the dash character on the end.

Once you get the old jobs cleared, try printing a test page.

This cleared up queue of unprocessed jobs, but printing a test page just setup another unprocessed print job. See job2.jpg (below)

How do I get it to print? Jobs seem to disappear, but nothing gets printed.

How do I print a .pdf file?

Do you still have the 722c printer driver installed? It came from here.

Maybe this old printer has finally died.
