Puppy dont run Xorg

#1 Post by inkid »

i have a PC. In this config:

Code: Select all

Intel Celeron D 315, 2266 MHz (17 x 133)
System Memory  	224 MB
VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP (32 MB)
So, i can't load Puppy in X-win. Also played with "xorgwizard" -- without luck!
PC just frozen, and no any reactions from keyboard.
I'm was try to run and from CD, and from USB.
Don't understand. Problem with video or with memory or something else.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Puppy: lupu 511

Have you tried the Vesa video driver? Also, put back in the CD, and at the startup, type this

Code: Select all

pfix=noram
This will run directly from the CD without using your ram as space. When you get to the part to choose your video settings and such, run Vesa. See what happens.
Hope this helps!
