Assalamu'alaikum (Peace be Upon you)

I have a Canon bj210 and the Puppy inbuilt printing works with that . . .
If the standard printing does not work do a search for CUPS and use that (I think it is under Pups and stuff) a LOT of work has gone into this and it should enable your printer
Good luck

:)

Here is the CUPS Info:

when you say this OLD printer is not working, does it mechanical activate - i.e. picks up paper, feeds but no printing, or is it REALLY not working at the computer interface. You can self test this model canon by powering it up (no need for computer) and quickly double pressing the resume/paper feed button on the top. It will feed a single sheet and print a rectangle pattern made up of many connecting square boxes. It any part of any box is missing, it indicates a blocked (dried ink) or burnt out nozzle (fatal). Blocked nozzles may respond to soaking in WINDEX (glass window cleaning product) - depends how long the ink was left to dry.
