Sound / Volume Icon dead in Puppy 4.3.1, 5.1.1, and 5.2 Sub_title: Pupsave file on flash drive disables sound / volume icon
VERSION: Puppy Linux 4.3.1, 5.1.1, and 5.2 HARDWARE: ANY computer regardless of hardware configuration (that Puppy can run on)
Whenever I have used a pupsave file for persistence on a flash drive, it eventually made the volume icon unresponsive in a short time. I've resized the pupsave file, restarted Xorg, and tried one or two other measures to try to "wake up" the volume icon. I should more accurately say that I can "slide" the volume up and down but there is no corresponding change in sound. I can ALWAYS control sound through Retrovol when I click on full window.
This is no more than a mild annoyance, but I thought I would address the issue to help perfect my favorite distro.
