How to install other languages

#1 Post by Slpolak »

I shall appreciate if anyone can tell me how to install Asian languages and Russian, so that emails send in such languages can be read in Firefox and Iron. Thank you!

You should try out this one.
Quickset Wary-504q

Originally Japanese Forum team have started to develop the Wary-500 Japanese edition, but it is now developed as a multilingual edition by this forum members.
There could be others too. But they are dedicated to make Puppy available in any language so you would get good response there I hope.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

thanks Phil, yes Shinobar really wants Puppy to be available in many languages and your link is more general than what the one I provided was so that is good :)

Other languages

What I want is to emails that come in other languages, not Japanese, Korean etc, but languages that have normal letters. For example in ubuntu, you can just add extra keyboards and change from one to another by a mouse click. I just wanted to know whether I could have that situation with Puppy Linux.

Usually, in Firefox or Chromium, I can read emails written in other languages, but in Puppy there are only some icons.

Thanks anyway!

If the languages use a Latin alphabet, what is the problem? I thought puppy could display special letters like the ss letter in German.
