I made these pets using latest chrome deb downloadable here and adding google-libs-7 provided by mywolfe here (thanks!).

It works for me on Wary 5. If someone wants to mirror pets please do it as I'm not a big fan of file hosting sites...

Cheers

Working OK in Puppy Lucid (test branch)
Many thanks for providing :)
Lovely browser.

and now some ranting . . .

Chrome is very seductive. It gets everyone on the cloud
and obscures their thinking.
Control the browser, content and push your agenda.
Chrome may shine. Do you trust advertisers?
That is what Chrome is for Google, an advertising platform.

I look forward to a Chrome plated fork.

Mmmh... I can't play videos on youtube with flashplayer lib embeded in pet, I can if I remove (rename) it but then Chrome complains on any page that "plugin was blocked because is out of date"...

With embedded lib Flash videos on other sites work and so common flash content...

Any advice?

Maybe you mean Chromium fork (Chrome is not open source).

Anyway no spyware in Chrome, you decide what informations you are inclined to share,

Morover I guess Lobster was pointing out about privacy risks having all own mails, calendar dates, private photos and videos and more all hosted on Mr.G. servers...

Neurino, now he really means Iron, I used it on Windows some year ago before I went totally Linux. Iron is a good browser as he says.

Well it seems there's nothing to compile for Iron, just dowload, extract and run...

There are two executables in there: a bin and a shell files (iron, chrome-wrapper).

I see the last one puts symlinks around for missing libraries and since I'm not in the mood for this sort of things I leave this duty to other volunteers.

If it works abouth making a couple of pets (main + NLS) I can give help if needed...

Cheers
