G'MIC Online

#1 Post by labbe5 »

Hi,

Here is the link to G'MIC Online : https://gmicol.greyc.fr/

The processing of photographs with G'MIC Online can be very fast, with files up to 2mb.

Moreover, we can access it from a public library, or an internet café, or wherever you are with an internet access.

Sometimes, working with Gimp with a Puppy in frugal mode, the save file can be rapidly filling to its full capacity. But processing photographs from G'MIC Online prevents this effectively. The other way around being doing all processing in tmp, but to an extent. There is also the occasional OS not able to deal with Gimic plugin, because of a few libraries that are lacking, libtiff, and such.

So to fellow photographers not aware of this tool, here is G'MIC Online. It is very effective to make all kind of changes, a complete graphic editor in its own rights.

[G'MIC] New filter 'Layers / Blend [seamless]

#2 Post by labbe5 »

Hi,

A new gmic plugin for Gimp is available : 1.5.8.6. And there is an interesting new feature :
"A new filter has been added to the G'MIC plug-in for GIMP, named Layers / Blend [seamless].
It implements a new blending mode that helps in merging an object into a background image, without spending too much time in segmenting the object precisely."

"Two examples are better than words" : http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=28& ... cffc96a1b9

Above, you will find examples that demonstate the usefulness of this new feature for blending two images into one.
