Cool The enclosed file (I hope) should be code for an executable written in Gambas BASIC which Barry has provided as an alien package install (you have to install it in 1.0.2 if you want to avoid dependency nonsense)

In the post should be a welcome form and welcome class (the source code) and Bowwow which is the runnable executable (make it executable)

If it works OK then let me know. It is a simple welcome program for Puppy newcomers, with links.

Gambas seems stable enough to work with. The code seems OK to use (but I did get some lockups). This is version 1.0.4 A later stable version 1.0.6 is also available. Most of today I spent learning to use the GUI - there is really only two coding items in my program - SHELL and QUIT

So it is a good, easy language. I hope others will have a go. Fun. Cool

winston879,
Have you checked out BaCon?

http://bkhome.org/bacon/

I have recently created a "proxy setup" GUI app with BaCon, the executable is 50KB and that's it. Apart from small, it is compiled so is fast.
